She has been a trainer for Adult Education and Training courses in the areas of Citizenship and Equal Opportunities. She has worked as a lecturer in Sociology and Justice and Social Reintegration at the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria.

Lisete Cordeiro also served as a Sociologist at the Figueira da Foz Municipal Council.

Currently, she holds the position of General Director at InPulsar – Associação para o Desenvolvimento Comunitário, an IPSS in the city of Leiria that operates in the fields of poverty and social exclusion. She was one of the founders of this organization and its first President of the Board.
